Great Gain Athletics Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit sports mentoring organization serving the Los Angeles area and surrounding communities. We seek to improve the lives and well being of youth and young adults through our sports mentoring programs, activities and events. Our purpose is to provide access to opportunities, resources and guidance for underrepresented young people who may have experienced socioeconomic disadvantages. Our vision is to cultivate a mentoring community through one of a kind experiences that give young people the best chances to succeed as athletes on the court and beyond the game.

The Youth Club Experience was designed to create a unique basketball exchange alongside our pro-club athletes. Our purpose is to forge lasting relationships with youth in the community by reaffirming the positive affects of role modeling. The goal is to create a fun, active and challenging learning environment through our mini clinics, mentorship workshops and enrichment camps to help youth thrive in sports, in the classroom and in life.

GGA Inc may award partial scholarships to area youth who without this financial assistance would not be able to participate in our partner program, So Cal Fierce Basketball. We feel it’s important that all aspiring youth athletes experience the benefits of youth sports and how it can enhance the well-being and quality of life on the court, in the classroom and beyond the game.

A pro-prep basketball development program that gives participants a “professional basketball contract” experience. Our Mentors share their personal experiences, knowledge and expertise to mentor within athletic development, workshops and community service activities and events. Our hope is that we cultivate unique experiences that help equip young people with the skills, tools, and work ethic they need to become professionals on the court and beyond the game.

[The Mentoring Effect(2014)]
More than 70% of the youth participants we serve have been faced with socioeconomic disadvantages.
To date, we hosted free mini clinics and student athlete workshops for over 423 kids and teens in Los Angeles & surrounding cities.
In 2018, 50% of the young men we mentored reached their dreams of playing professional basketball internationally.
One in three young people reach adulthood without a mentor. Help us change that.
